Meet Jess Liu

Ms. Liu conceived the name "Pathaura," drawing inspiration from her own immigration journey. She aspires for Pathaura's services to illuminate a brighter path for our clients toward a better future. At Pathaura, she oversees the firm's operation and develops effective case strategies to ensure success.

With a rich foundation in STEM and a dynamic career in immigration law, Ms. Liu offers a unique blend of technical knowledge and legal expertise. She began her journey with dual bachelor's degrees in law and chemistry, where she excelled academically and made significant contributions to the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition at MIT. Ms. Liu also co-authored eight peer-reviewed academic publications, amassing over 420 citations.

Transitioning into the legal domain, Ms. Liu has worked with several immigration law firms, managing over five hundreds of immigrant petitions across various visa categories. She has extensive experience with employment-based petitions across various fields, with special expertise in clients from the STEM and arts industries. Notably, she has successfully handled numerous unique and challenging cases, including securing NIW approvals for several circus performers at Cirque du Soleil.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Liu has played the violin for over 20 years and is a competitive gymnastic pole dancer, participating in national contests. These artistic endeavors enhance her ability to connect with professional athletes and artists, providing them with tailored legal support. Her interdisciplinary background enables her to offer customized strategies to clients, ensuring high approval rates and exceptional client satisfaction.

Currently, Ms. Liu is furthering her expertise at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, with a dedication to becoming a patent attorney while helping more immigrants across diverse industries.
